Wow, just wow! I can honestly say I have never left a doctor’s appointment feeling more frustrated, confused, gaslit or angry than I did yesterday. My pre-op appointment was spent debating with the doctor whether or not I needed a hysterectomy. My PREOP appointment! That feels like a conversation that should have already happened. Dr. York has absolutely zero bedside manner and his arrogance is astounding. He clearly hadn’t looked at my file prior to entering the room with me. He then proceeded to listen while providing a rebuttal for every one of my symptoms. Despite me having already been offered a hysterectomy from another doctor 3 years prior and meeting with one of his own nurse practitioners just a few weeks ago who also agreed that a hysterectomy could alleviate some of my concerns. Then he did a pelvic exam. Upon returning to the room it was as if someone flipped a switch and he was onboard with surgery. He started asking me if I wanted my ovaries taken out and when I said I wasn’t sure if that was needed, as his NP said it wouldn’t be because I’m post menopausal. He said that he “wouldn’t trust her advice. After all, she’s young and has only been in his practice for a year”. When I probed further about additional healing time or possible incisions, he said there wouldn’t be any, that “in fact I wouldn’t even know if he had removed them without my knowledge.” But that he “wouldn't do that, because that would be unethical.” When I told him I wasn’t sure what would solve my issues (endometriosis, cysts on ovaries, growing uterus, lower abdominal pain, bleeding post-menopause, prolapse, frequent urination, lower back pain) but that a urologist I recently visited, a prior OBGYN doctor and his own nurse practitioner had all agreed that removing my tilted uterus might help, he apparently had a change of heart or at least no longer felt it was unnecessary. Upon questioning him further regarding his change in opinion, he stated that he didn’t have adequate notes at the beginning of the meeting, but now felt after speaking with me that perhaps a hysterectomy might help. But despite his resistance in the beginning and my admission that I wasn’t sure what the best solution might be, he gave no other suggestion just proceeded with filling out the consent for surgery form. Then he went on to say that I better come back 3 weeks after the surgery and tell him it’s the best thing that ever happened to me. Even if it wasn’t, I “better fake it”. I knew then, that this was not a doctor I wanted to allow any opportunity to handle something this significant. I canceled my surgery today. And when I called, the front deck person was like “ok, we got that canceled. bye”. No inquiry as to why. When I asked when I would receive a refund for pre-payment of the surgery she said someone else would call me on Monday. All of the reviews are true, the front desk staff is quite rude. My advice would be to find someone who cares a little more about the women they are meant to be providing solutions for.

Offices were incredibly clean and warm. I waited only 3 minutes before being called in. Dr. Combs and her assistant were exceptional with receiving me, talking with me to assess my needs and desires and implementing the best course of action/treatment for me. They were polite, kind, gentle, pleasant and respectful. They were also efficient and I am more than pleased with my new Obgyn.

Kacey Combs took care of my severe menopause symptoms and the medication she prescribed started to work right away, a couple of side effects but I feel so much better than I have in a very long time! Thank You Kacey

First appointment with Dr York, as my previous GYN retired, who I saw for my GYN appointments for 30 years. Dr York bed-side manner isn’t good! He was more concerned about how he was going to get paid by Medicare. I never had a problem with Medicare paying my old GYN. He didn’t ask me if I had any concerns. He automatically assumed things that may not be true about my health. He treated me like a set of numbers. He didn’t want to hear what I thought. He also made me feel like I was old and put me in a box. I will not be going back to him or his office.

I’ve had consistently positive experiences with Kacey and am so grateful for her care. What I appreciate most is that she genuinely listens and approaches care collaboratively. She doesn’t not treat healthcare like a rigid algorithm. She takes my concerns and experiences seriously and is willing to discuss options rather than simply defaulting to the most traditional approach. I’ve always felt comfortable advocating for myself with her, asking questions, and exploring different treatment options. I really appreciate having a provider who combines her clinical expertise with a willingness to listen to what I’m experiencing and what matters to me.

I like Dr. Yorks office. He is a wonderful Doctor. He is kind, patient and he listens. I did not feel that way with Kacey Combs. She did not listen and was condescending when I asked for a test. Kacey discriminated me because of my age and I just wanted to be proactive with this test. This shouldn't be over looked. I can recommend Doctor York but I can't recommend Kacey.

Dr. York is wonderful! He takes time to listen and hear your concerns. He makes you feel comfortable and is very honest and transparent about concerns or issues. He is the most trusted doctor for OB services. I would not go to anyone else.

I wanna say that my experience yesterday with Dr. York was not a pleasant one. I waited on Dr. York roughly 35 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I was OK with that, but it appeared to me that something must have bothered him prior to entering into my room. When we begin our conversation, every question I asked was met with a rebuttal. I begin to explain to him my previous experience with HRT. I asked him questions about Weight Loss and if hormone diminishing would cause a problem with weight gain. He said no and the resolution to the issues I was experienced was just due begin a1200 cal diet daily. I ask some questions about an ultrasound for my breast exam instead of a mammogram. His response to Me was very derogatory. I decided to just wait until next year to get the mammogram. I didn’t want any additional services from him. I asked him maybe about six questions and every question that I ask was met with a defense. I felt like his bedside manner was very poor. He had a new nurse practitioner that was being trained by him at the present time. I could see the expression on her face and she could see that the visit wasn’t going well. She stood by & just smiled. I hope her Experience will be better than mine. If anyone knows of another gynecologist in Colorado Springs, please let me know. I waited six months for this appointment because my gynecologist retired. He was absolutely amazing and I wish he was still practicing. The only good thing that came out of my visit yesterday is that I was prescribed my testosterone once again. I had to wait for this visit in order to get a new prescription. Hopefully this medication helps me until I’m able to find a new doctor. He wasn’t nice at all. Sign sincerely disappointed.
